Some January Snaps

Gus and the latest squirrel toy

Exploring Indian/vegetarian cooking

Celebrating Micah's 29th birthday! (Which was really in December.)

Total comfort, and a beard!

Can you believe it's almost reasonable to start thinking about February? Well, the report is that Turmans 1 and 2 have been enjoying a lot of relatively laid back triathlon training, lots of movies, reading, and relaxing "just because it's winter."

And I'll admit, I've been watching The Bachelor. I know it's lame, over-edited, and probably a huge waste of time, but it does reassure me of my relative normalcy and is good for a laugh.

Furthermore, any show given the tag line "On the Wings of Love," is probably worth checking out, just to see if it lives up to the ridiculous romance paradigms that people buy into for some reason. (Roses and chocolate? Why not a pine branch and some Skittles?)

K, maybe not.

I consider myself a fairly open-minded person, but here's what it boils down to in terms of my not understanding: the screaming. Any time something exciting happens on the show, all the girls scream. What is that? I honestly can't remember the last time I screamed.

Enough about The Bachelor. In other news, WE TURNED THE PIANO.

That lovable, largish object in the living room. Now the room looks much bigger!

That's all for now! Gus is nudging a little squirrel up against my leg.

Are you SURE you didn't scream when you turned the piano? Because I think I would in that situation. ;)
