Believe it or not, a couple thousand dollars worth of car damage can look as innocent as this.
When hit by the car that was hit by this car on I-94 in bumper-to-bumper traffic at 4pm on a Thursday.
As in, I can't close my trunk.
As in, hey, I've had to replace the front bumper after a 15 passenger van somehow ripped it off while parked, so it must be about time to do some damage to the REAR one!
So here are my two seconds of bossy:
Can we please stop texting while driving? And if no, how about only at really long red lights when not moving?
Because when I blew out my birthday candles, I know I didn't wish for the fun that is working with insurance companies over the course of several weeks.
Of course I'm incredibly fortunate it wasn't worse, or that I wasn't the 20 year-old driving the car in Position #1 whose driver's license didn't have a current address and who didn't have a current proof of insurance. I bet that was fun.
Anyway, please just don't text while driving. It can actually be a bigger risk than most of the ones MacGyver took. You dig me?
